"Heartful Melody" CANVAS LOUNGE Concert 2025 Regular Event

The annual CANVAS LOUNGE concert has been confirmed for 2025.
This year, the first round will be held in June, the second round in September, the third round in December, and the fourth round in March 2026.
We plan to feature familiar instruments such as violins, clarinets, and quartets, and will offer a selection of instruments and music that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, from children to adults.
We hope you will have a heartwarming time with all of the participants.

September 27, 2025 (Sat): String Quartet
The second installment, to be released in September, will be "String Quartet."
A string quartet featuring the beautiful sounds of violin, viola, and cello. Enjoy the colorful sounds of string instruments from Ghibli to Piazzolla.

Marino Yagira (violin)
Born in Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture. After graduating from Kyoto City University of Arts, she graduated from the Graduate School of Music with a Master's degree in instrumental music (strings) at the top of her class. She has received numerous awards, including the Excellence Award at the 16th Kobe International Music Competition. She performed Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto with the Nakaumi Symphony Orchestra. The following year, she held a recital in Matsue.
He was a member of Yutaka Sado's Super Kids Orchestra for three years and appeared in the musical "Untitled Concert."
Former contract member of the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra.

Saya Ikeda (violin)
After graduating from Kyoto Horikawa Music High School, he studied at Kyoto City University of Arts and completed a master's degree in string music at the University of the Arts Graz, Austria.
Selected for the string instrument category at the 14th Osaka International Music Competition, second place at the 20th Kumagusu no Sato Music Competition, Encouragement Award in the string instrument category at the 16th Japan Performers Competition, and first place at the 4th King's Peak International Music Competition.
She studied violin under the late Naomi Ishida, Reiko Tachibana, the late Nobuo Wakabayashi, Akiko Ikegawa, Takashi Izumihara, and Eszter Haffner.

Sao Goto (Viola)
Born in Yamaguchi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. Started playing the violin at the age of 3. Graduated from Kyoto Horikawa Music High School and Kyoto City University of Arts, Faculty of Music, majoring in strings.
She has studied violin under Shizuko Ishii, Kazuyo Kimura, Sonoko Numata, and Takashi Izumihara.
Currently, he performs in a wide range of genres, including orchestras, chamber music, pop, contemporary music, and performing arts, mainly in the Kansai region, and also teaches the next generation of musicians.
Yuuta Kawada (cello)
He started self-studying the cello at the age of 19. In March 2013, he graduated from the Faculty of Music at Kyoto City University of Arts.
During his time at the university, he participated in many music festivals and seminars, including the Seiji Ozawa Music Academy, the Kyoto Relay Music Festival, and Phoenix OSAQA (JSQ lecturer), and took a master class with Francois Salcques.
In addition to guest performing with and teaching professional orchestras, he is also actively involved in planning chamber music and outreach concerts. In recent years, he has expanded his activities to include string arranging.
He has studied under Professors Yutaka Hayashi, Kazutaka Amada, and Noboru Kamimura.

Honami Wakui (Flute)
After graduating from Kyoto Municipal Music High School (now Kyoto Municipal Kyoto Horikawa Music High School), she graduated from the Department of Music at Doshisha Women's College of Liberal Arts. She was selected to compete in the high school division of the 62nd All-Japan Student Music Competition Osaka Tournament. She placed 5th in the university women's flute division of the 22nd Japan Classical Music Competition. She was selected to compete in the piccolo division of the 17th Japan Flute Convention Competition. She has studied under Kobayashi Chiaki, Toratani Tomoko, Nagayama Keiko, Ichikawa Tomoko, and Masumoto Ryuji. She currently works as a teacher and orchestra player, mainly in the Kansai region. She is a flute and piccolo instructor at JEUGIA Music Salon Sanjo.
Chisato Matsuoka (Flute)
He started playing the flute at the age of 12. He graduated from Osaka Kyoiku University, Faculty of Education, Department of Liberal Arts, Arts and Music Course, and completed the Graduate School of Education, Arts and Culture, Music Research Course at the same university. He won the 37th Kirishima International Music Festival Award and 1st place in the wind instruments category at the 21st Choko Cup International Music Competition. He has studied flute under Otsuka Yukiko and Nakatsuka Haruyuki. He is currently a flutist with Philharmonic Winds Osaka (Oosakan) and a lecturer at the Keihanna Youth Wind Orchestra. Based in the Kansai region, he is active in a wide range of fields, including solo, ensemble and wind orchestra performances and numerous recordings, while also mentoring the next generation of flutists.
