The "Traditional Crafts Room" in the Premium Floor "Junior Suite" is decorated with traditional Hakata crafts.

Through the traditional crafts of Hakata that adorn the guest rooms, guests can experience the history and aesthetic sense of the city, and enjoy a stay that will inspire them to explore the city.

This initiative is being implemented in collaboration with Fukuoka City's "Royal Park Hotels Tourism Consumption Expansion Project through Traditional Industries."*To achieve this, we have positioned this initiative as a program to support the inheritance of craft culture from the perspective of Japan as a whole, and the Traditional Crafts Room was created with the desire to pass on the value of craft culture to the next generation.

*The Regional Story is a concept shared by all of our hotels in the "THE Series," which aims to promote sustainable tourism and regional co-creation by carefully weaving together five stories that reside in each town in which we have a hotel: history, food culture, natural environment, manufacturing, and people. By expressing these stories in terms of both physical and service aspects, we position hotels not simply as "places to stay" but as "bases for gaining deeper understanding of the region."

The guest rooms are fitted with footslows, pillows and sofa cushions made from the historic "Hakata-ori" fabric, which is said to have been invented over 780 years ago and has been improved over the years, even being presented as a gift to the shogunate. Amenities boxes, made of "Hakata Magemono" (bentwood) and carefully crafted entirely from natural materials, without the use of any metal, are not only functional, with antibacterial, absorbent and moisturising properties, but also captivating in their beauty. The guest rooms are also fitted with impressive "Hakata dolls" crafted with delicate techniques, creating a special experience that allows you to immerse yourself in the traditions and culture of Hakata.
Additionally, the guest rooms are equipped with "Hakata Gamaguchi Pouches," which are made from fabric woven using traditional Hakata weaving techniques and fashioned into easy-to-use clasp purses. "Bring the beauty of Japan to your travels." Enjoy strolling around the city with a traditional Fukuoka craft in hand.
*Pouches are for rental only. If you wish, you can purchase one.
