Mitsubishi Estate Hotels & Resorts [ECO PROJECT 2026]

As part of its commitment to the SDGs Mitsubishi Estate Hotels & Resorts will be implementing "ECO PROJECT 2026," an eco-friendly initiative to help guests get through the hot summer while being mindful of the environment, including traditional methods of "uchimizu" (sprinkling water to cool down) and the provision of cooling goods, as well as energy conservation within the hotels.
◆Uchimizu
We will be conducting the traditional Japanese custom of sprinkling water outdoors to cool down in an environmentally friendly way without using electricity. This will be done in the early morning before the temperature rises and in the evening when the temperature starts to drop, inviting in the coolness.
Period: July 20, 2026 (Monday/National Holiday) - August 2, 2026 (Sunday) *On sunny days

◆-Hospitality with cooling goods-
As a token of our gratitude to all guests who have visited our hotel despite the hot weather, we will be presenting them with a fan with a handle made from environmentally friendly, sustainable bamboo.
*These will be given to the first 100 guests at each hotel (200 guests at the Royal Park Hotel (Tokyo, Nihonbashi)) upon check-in.
Distribution period: July 31st (Fri) - August 2nd (Sun), 2026
- Energy saving -
In conjunction with "Energy Conservation Review Day," which was set up as an opportunity to review energy consumption, all hotels will simultaneously implement energy conservation measures, such as adjusting the cooling temperature settings of air conditioners in public spaces.
Date and Time: August 1, 2026 (Saturday), 17:00-18:00
- Adjusting the air conditioning temperature settings in public spaces such as the hotel lobby and front desk.
- Lights will be dimmed in some areas of the building.
• Encourage turning off lights in offices and back areas.
*The details of the program may vary depending on the hotel.
We will continue to work with our guests to take energy and environmentally conscious measures, striving as a hotel to promote the SDGs and contribute to the global environment.
