Following the regrettable closure of the restaurant "CURRY DINING AVION" in Haneda Airport's Terminal 1 in March 2025, Restaurant & "Restaurant & Bar TAILWIND", which the restaurant painstakingly recreated in 2008, and will be serving it as "Avion Beef Curry" from Monday, April 21, 2025.

● Overview of "Avion Beef Curry"
The recipe for "Avion Beef Curry (formerly "European Beef Curry")" has been passed on to "Restaurant & Bar TAILWIND" at The Royal Park Hotel Tokyo Haneda "CURRY DINING AVION" opened as an authentic curry restaurant in Haneda Airport's Terminal 1 in 2008. The restaurant is a successor to the French restaurant "Grill Avion" which opened in the old terminal in 1963, the year before the Tokyo Olympics.
Grill Avion was a coveted restaurant where you could taste authentic foreign cuisine during the Showa era, when it was difficult to travel abroad easily. Its beef curry was a European-style dish that was rare at the time, and was characterized by the sweetness of domestic beef and vegetables simmered for three days, as well as the spicy aroma and spiciness. Made with a refined and delicate classical method that took time and effort, the curry's deep flavor became so popular that local residents would bring pots to buy it.
  "Grill Avion" 1993 The restaurant closed when the old terminal was closed, but the operator, Tokyo Airport Restaurant Co., Ltd. (formerly Japan Airport Restaurant Co., Ltd., founded in 1955), carefully preserved the recipe and recreated the historic curry to coincide with the opening of CURRY DINING AVION in 2008.
